Lesson 33: More on Present Continuous ( I am doing..)

We use the present continuous ( I am doing) when we talk about things happening around now (for example today, this week, tonight, etc.):
Examples:
  • A: "You're working hard today." B: "Yes, I have a lot to do."
  • A: "Is Sarah working this week?" B: "No, she's on vacation."
We use the present continuous when we talk about changes happening now or around now.
Examples:
  • The population of the world is rising very fast.
  • Is your English getting better?
